The Teck Teachers Report Card.

It has been three weeks into the third term and I have not killed ant innocents. The poor little scoundrels really know how to get under one’s skin. Any way I work two floors at Ntaba Maria. The first being the computer lab and the second floor being the technology work room (aka, THE TECK ROOM).

The computer room sports a projector and 24 computers. Of these 22 work consistently, which makes my job enjoyable. I sit in a central position within the computer lab, so that I am to keep an eye out for loose children.

The TECK ROOM, is fully furnished with various tools. There is a reciprocating saw, a power saw, a very cool power vacuum and two drill machines. The grade 8 students have been given a task of creating a pulley for me. Every once in a will I do something to confuse my students and make a machine. The machine I have made has a fly wheel and is linked to a syringe. This was done to show how linear movement can be transformed into rotational movement. It also showed me how a stream engine piston would work in theory. Which was part of another project I am secretly doing…mmmmwhahhaha.

I will update some pictures for all of you at some time.

Teaching.

It is the end of my three week party. I am gearing up and getting ready to do my teaching thing. I'm looking forward to all the day to day challenges of students and improving my teaching ability.

The one thing I have learnt is that you should always be over prepared before you go into a class. Man those little innocent children can become hell spawn in a few moments notice. However when you get them going and have them focused on something interesting they are soft clay in your hand and are as pleasent as a bouque of flowers.

Professional Relationship?

What is the best way to help out someone when they are having problems at work and you can't do anything to help out? Are you allowed to go to that person superior and tell them to get their act together? Should I just sit in silence? Should I support that someone by listening to their problems?

I don't know what I should do?

Does anybody have any ideas for me?

Is it right that I should feel frustrated for that person, or should I not worry about it?

Dancing

The waltz, Romance in a dance. Mo and I have decided to start our own dance lesson's. I have decided that we will first learn the waltz. It is an easy dance to learn (That means I will be able to do it.)

I feel that dancing with some one you love can stength the bound between the couple involved. My challeng to every one is to dance a least once a week with your patner.

I have included some basic steps for men.

and for women.

Good Luck and may the force be with you.
